Welcome to FunKe Science!
Hey there, these are the terms parents, schools and partners need most. We have kept them warm and readable without softening the important parts. The full Terms above and Kenyan law still govern every order and booking.!
Before the experiment begins
An adult must order or book for a child. Your place or product is confirmed when we send written confirmation or an invoice and receive any payment or deposit that is due.
Check the learner’s details, date, location, product, price and delivery information. Tell us promptly if anything needs correcting.
Payment keeps the plan on track
Pay through the checkout, invoice or official FunKe Science instructions. A quotation or booking confirmation may set a payment deadline and explain what happens if payment is late.
We will never ask for your mobile-money PIN, card PIN or online-banking password.
Changed plans?
Contact us as early as you can. The cancellation and rescheduling terms in your quotation or booking confirmation apply to that programme.
If FunKe Science cancels a paid service and cannot offer a suitable new date, we will provide a credit or refund for the cancelled service.
When a kit arrives
Give us a complete address and a telephone number that works. Delivery dates are estimates, so we will let you know about a significant delay.
Check the parcel when it arrives. Contact us within seven days if something is missing, damaged, incorrect or defective. We will assess the issue and provide the repair, replacement or refund required by law.
We may accept an unused, unopened product returned within seven days because you changed your mind. Opened consumables, personalised items and digital content already accessed are not normally returnable unless they are defective or the law says otherwise.
Safety comes before the fizz
Follow the age limits, instructions and warnings supplied with every kit or activity. Parents, guardians, teachers and programme leaders must provide reasonable supervision.
Do not taste materials, make unauthorised mixtures or introduce flame, mains electricity or another hazard unless the activity specifically requires it and suitable supervision is in place. Stop using anything that appears damaged, contaminated or unsafe.
Use our learning materials to learn
You may use our videos, guides and activities for personal learning and ordinary classroom teaching. Please do not copy them for resale, upload them publicly or use our branding without written permission.
Photos need permission
Joining a FunKe Science activity does not automatically give us permission to publish someone’s photograph or story. Promotional use requires appropriate consent, including parent or guardian permission for a child.
Learning looks different for every child
Our kits and programmes support learning, but we cannot promise particular grades, admissions or career outcomes. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy Policy
We need some information to deliver kits, organise programmes and keep learners safe. We collect what the service needs, take extra care with children’s information and give you choices about how your data is used.
What we may ask for
When you order, book or contact us, we may ask for your name, telephone number, email address, delivery details and information about the service you need. We also keep order, payment-status and communication records.
For a child joining an activity, we may need their name, age group, school, attendance and emergency details. We ask about allergies, accessibility or health only when that information helps us run the activity safely.
Why we use it
We use personal information to deliver kits, register learners, run safe programmes, answer questions, process payments, improve our services and meet legal or accounting duties.
We use information for marketing, photographs, videos or testimonials only when we have a lawful reason, including consent where it is required.
Children get extra care
A parent or guardian should provide information and consent for a child where required. We collect only what the activity needs.
We do not sell children’s information, market directly to children or use their information for behavioural advertising. We ask separately before using a child’s image or story for promotion.
Photos and stories are a choice
Joining a programme does not automatically give us permission to publish someone’s photograph, video or story. You may withdraw consent for future use. We will stop new uses and take reasonable steps to remove the material from channels we control.
Who may help us provide the service
We may share the minimum information needed with providers handling payments, delivery, website services, forms or communications. For a programme, we may also work with a school, facilitator, venue, NGO or sponsor.
We may disclose information when an emergency or the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.
A quick word about cookies
Essential cookies help the website work. If we use analytics or advertising cookies, the website should let you accept or reject them where consent is required.
We do not keep information forever
We keep information only while it is needed for the service, safety, accounting or another legal reason. We then delete it, anonymise it or store it only for the period the law requires.
Your information, your choices
You may ask to access or correct your information. You may also request deletion where the law allows, object to certain uses, withdraw consent or unsubscribe from marketing.
A parent or guardian may make a request for a child. Some rights have legal limits, and we may ask for proof of identity or authority before acting.

User Policy
Use these simple rules whenever you explore a FunKe Science kit, video, club, camp, event or online space.
Grown-ups lead the way
An adult must order or book for a child. Children should use kits and join activities with supervision suited to their age and the experiment.
Give us accurate delivery, registration, allergy, accessibility and emergency information. Tell us when something changes.
Follow the experiment, not a shortcut
Read the instructions before starting. Follow the age guidance and safety warnings, use protective equipment when directed, and work in a suitable space.
Keep small parts away from younger children. Do not taste activity materials or make unauthorised mixtures. Stop if anyone feels unwell or the instructions are unclear.
Kindness belongs in every lab
Treat learners, families, facilitators and staff with respect. Bullying, discrimination, threats, dangerous behaviour and serious disruption are not accepted.
Follow reasonable instructions from facilitators, teachers and venue staff, especially when safety or safeguarding is involved.
Protect young scientists’ privacy
Do not share a child’s name, school, location, assessment result, photograph or video without the required parent or guardian permission and any applicable school approval.
If you notice a safety, privacy or safeguarding concern, report it promptly to the responsible adult or FunKe Science. Contact emergency services when someone needs immediate protection.
Learn from our work, but do not resell it
You may use our videos, guides, assessments and activities for personal learning and ordinary classroom teaching. Do not copy, sell, upload publicly or modify them for resale without written permission.
Assessments guide. They do not define.
A STEM-interest assessment can help a learner explore possible strengths and interests. It is not a medical or psychological diagnosis and does not promise a grade, admission or career.
When we need to step in
We may remove content, restrict access or end participation when behaviour is unlawful, unsafe or seriously disruptive. Any refund is handled under our Terms and Conditions.
